Several doors, a whole staff, one record.
Staff on shared devices
Pair up to 25 iPhones or iPads. By default, staff enter their PIN before scanning, so each scan records which staff member ran it. A door set to anonymous records only the device.
Repeat entries across doors
Scan the same license or ID card again on any of your devices within 4 hours (owners can change the window), and staff see an alert. It’s a prompt, not a block. It needs a connection, and passports and Apple Wallet IDs aren’t covered.
Reports without employee names
Export a summary report or a per-scan log for a date range. Neither names your employees: the log uses an internal ID that your owners and managers can match to a person inside Check ID.
Shared guest lists
Guest lists are shared across your team, and paired door devices sync them, so each door works from the same names.
Two years of records
Scan records are kept for two years by default. The owner can choose 30 days to about ten years, and older records are deleted every night.
Privacy
What a Teams scan record keeps.
Teams keeps scan records on our servers so you can review them, but never the name, date of birth, address, ID number or a picture of the ID. We can’t leak what we never kept.

A record also keeps the results of the barcode format checks and whether the person matched your guest list.
Guest lists hold names
Teams guest lists hold only what your team adds on purpose: names typed in or imported. A scan never adds anyone.
Repeat-entry codes aren’t anonymous
The code is one-way but still derived from the ID, so we don’t call it anonymous.
Our copy is off by default in some places
By default, our servers keep no repeat-entry codes for venues in New Hampshire, the EU and EEA, and every country outside the US, Canada, the UK and Australia. At those venues each device still makes its code, keeps a copy by default, and sends it with each scan for our server to discard. Elsewhere our servers keep the code for the repeat-entry window. Owners and managers can change this per venue.
Records are signed
Our server signs each record when it’s saved, so a later change to a signed field makes the record fail its check.
What Check ID is, and isn’t.
Check ID reads what an ID encodes. It can’t tell whether a card is genuine: a well-made fake can carry a valid barcode.
What it is
A tool that helps your staff check IDs. It reads the barcode or chip, checks the age against your minimum, and can keep a record that the check happened.
What it isn’t
Legal advice, insurance, a fake-ID detector, or a guarantee of compliance. Your staff make the final call.
